Another point is that even at the end of his shift he came to say goodbye and introduced us to the young man who was taking over from him which I thought was so thoughtful and really demonstrated how much pride and passion he has in his work. I have been to top rated and expensive places that have not given us half the service he did. I can not thank him enough for how well he looked after us. Ben has single handedly changed our whole perception of Brewers Fayre and gave such great service that we have rebooked for all 6 of us to return next month. He remembered what we were all drinking and He took the time to listen to any changes we made to the meals and remembered everything perfectly and recited our order before he left our table. Throughout our meal Ben regularly checked in on us and made sure we were all OK and that we had drinks and didn't run out. Sadly a few of the drinks were unavailable due to stock issues but Ben was able to make excellent recommendations based upon our tastes.
Had I of eaten them it could of of been fatal due to my anaphylaxis reaction to all fish/seafood & shellfish, So huge thanks for his attention to detail and actually listening to us. I had checked the allergen menu and it was NOT mentioned that these were cooked in the same oil as a fish /seafood dish. He picked up that I had chosen mozzarella bites, but mentioned these may not be suitable. 1 by 1 (6 in our group) we chose our starters and mains. He listened carefully as we placed our order.
From the moment we arrived a lovely young man called Ben showed us to our table.
